Description

A roguelike card battler of fortress siege — the wars are fake, the grudges are real.

Card battles in Spirefall happen on tavern tabletops, not battlefields. Pick one of six asymmetric factions, declare your commander, and run the Gauntlet — a branching roguelike of card encounters, strange events, and shops that overcharge you with a smile. Your deck evolves at every node; fortresses, structures, spell speeds, and 200+ unique cards reward planning and punish the overconfident.

Features

  • Roguelite Gauntlet runs — branching paths, evolving decks, Emblem modifiers, and tavern bosses worth the story you’ll tell badly later
  • Six distinct factions — asymmetric resources, unique subsystems, and commanders with enough personality to start their own tavern
  • Deep card combat — fortresses, structures, spell speeds, unit abilities, and board positioning across 200+ unique cards
  • The Journey Map — travel a realm of rival taverns, from Tully’s Ale Haus to Antiok’s hidden undercroft, the blood courts of Varynthis, and the soul-lit tables of Apopis, until the sealed Order of the Wand Pauldrons opens its doors
  • Casual comfort — you’re playing a card game inside a living tavern culture, and the game is in on the joke
  • “One more run” progression — unlock commanders, fortresses, and cards that open new strategies, not just bigger numbers

FAQ

Is the demo free?

Yes. The Tavern Gauntlet demo is free on Steam, with three playable factions (Technocrats, Merchant Coast, Inglorious Bards).

Can I stream, record, or monetize video of Spirefall?

Yes — coverage of the public demo and release builds is welcome, and monetizing that content is fine. No permission needed; this page is your permission.

Is it multiplayer?

Single-player at launch. Multiplayer is a post-1.0 consideration, not a launch commitment.

What does it cost?

Premium (paid) at Early Access — no free-to-play, no battle pass, no microtransactions.

Platforms beyond Windows?

Windows first via Steam. Other platforms are evaluated after 1.0.
